Found this brass Zippo lighter in a box of junk. It show the USS Enterprise CVN 65. This lighter has never been used I would really like to know the history of this commemorative ligther and if it is of any value.

Zippo marks their special edition lighters on the bottom. We have a bunch of them and Zippo really does repair them for free if you send them in.
I served 2 1/2 years on the "Big E" from 1975 - 1978. Just before that it was designated CVAN 65. The A was for attack. It was dropped during peace time I believe at the end of the Vietnam war. I have the same lighter somewhere around here. I also have some bowls that say CVAN 56.
