pict.#1 & #2 are the same station,same camera angle, #i in the day, #2 at night. Its a standard three bay design popular in the 1960s, as was the two bay station in pict#3. The station we opperated(into the 80s) was very similar two the three bay, the only difference was that the office was at the other end of the building & we had three extra pump islands for gas & a seperate island (at the other end of the lot) for #2 diesel & off-road (dyed red) diesel. Pict #4 is a monthly publication published by Mid-Continent Petro. Corp. (A.K.A. D-X later) from 1954. U just have to LUV the iconic image of the trusty attendant, always "service with a smile". I have to say, WAY before my time!
