I would like to know anything that anyone can offer about what I have found here- age, style, manufacturer etc. I found this in an area along a beach that is notorious for old shipwrecks. I'm assuming this probably came from a ship. It appears to be made out of copper, and I think that the legs and spout are pewter. There appear to be no markings or inscriptions left, if it every had any. It's been under the ocean for quite some time. As you can see from the pictures, the top, the handle, and part of the side have all eroded away. It's still in pretty good shape though, and given it's lack of total detoriation (considering how eroded it COULD be) and it given it's style, I'd assume its from the late 1800s. I'd like to get it aged as closely as possible to see if I can pair it with a particular shipwreck in the vicinity. There were alot of WWI and WWII boats sunk here as well. Does anyone know anything about it? based on the style, workmanship, materials, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated...I've got to decide what to do next with it.
