I just came across this book: Modern and Contemporary European History (1815-1928) by J. Salwyn Schapiro, PhD, Professor of History in the College of the City of New York, Revised Edition, copyright 1931. It is in very good shape. What intrigues me is that the title page is signed : H.M. Miller Jr from R.P. Bieber, May 1932. There's a Ralph P. Bieber (1894-1981) who was an author (The Southwestern Trails to California in 1849). Does anyone know more about this R.P. Bieber and H.M. Miller Jr. he gave that book to?
