This is a simple surface bubble level made by Keuffel & Esser Co. It is solid brass painted black with a liquid filled bubble vial. The vial is 4" long and the base is 6 1/8" long. You can turn the outer casing of the vial to cover and protect the glass. Still working and accurate. Probably made in the 1930's. UPDATE - Found this item listed in the 1913 K&E price list.
Item# is 5810.
