New Item of mine. 19th century "Straits Chinese" of "Peranakan" Marriage Bed. The reverse paint on glass pictures and mirror appear to be original. If anyone has knowledge of this furniture and value, I would like to hear from you.

wow!..this is fantastic!
I really love the bed.........but I can see why back seats became so popular. This doesn't look to comfortable.
A few new pictures are up that show more detail. Thank you for your comments!
I can't begin to imagine how long the carving alone took.
Absolutely gorgeous. I'm no help, of course, but still absolutely gorgeous.
This should give you a better idea of what the value is. Maybe you could email them to get a more exact value.

dont take it to pawn stars those people take advantage of people . that poor lady with gold coin
This is a chinese bed. I feel from the pictures its late 19th century. the wood looks from the photos to be Yumu wood ( northern elm wood) A soft wood that is common in utilitairn chinese furnature. The workmanship is very nice. Even though its make of a lesser wood than Zitan or Huanghuali you have all the joinery workmanship in it. VERY nice. I am supirized you have it complete.
Thank you for sharing Alexander
