Hi, I couldn't resist getting these. Their are two benches and two chairs. Although Asian, they seem to have an Art Nouveau influence. There are bats in the top corners and the front of the backs and the back of the backs are carved with birds and dragonflies. They might be called serpentine, but they actually look more like a banner or flag. The carved arms are like rolled fabric. I think it is Rosewood. If anyone knows the year of make, county of origin and value, I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Stunning !
wow great taste thats awesome
The wood is beautiful. The grain and color looks like what is called Cocobolo Rosewood. The wife and I both turn exotic hardwoods and really love the ease of working with both cocobolo and rosewood. The finished product, as shown here is fabulous.
These are two wonderful looking pieces.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing!!
I love Asian furniture - awesome pieces!
I love the carvings & grain. I did fine wood work for quite awhile but an experience I had destroyed my enthusiasm for about 4 yrs, I couldn't get it back. Just looking at such exquisite work has helped bring back some of my old zest. Thanks for sharing & helping my mental out-look.
