Can you show a picture of the back of it? This is a pretty easy item to research if you Google it.
see 4th picture, it says, good luck from Hoppy, US TIME in the emblem on the bottom
Hello Dean, these came in two sizes, both of which came out in 1950 by US Time(Ingersoll). Later the company became Timex as we know them today. The larger of the two is worth more than the smaller ones, because collectors like them better. The band has been changed out also, the original one was black with a horseshoe buckle and cactas, horseshoe and something else design on the strap, sorry can't remember the third design, will have to dig mine out and see.The crystal was a plastic domed and can be found very easy and cost effective. With a little cleaning and work,it will be a VERY nice watch, All said and done it's a nice watch now. Thanks for sharing your treasure and hope I've answered your question. Best Regards Kerry
thank you :)
Dean, first off your welcome. If you match it beside a quarter(coin) and post picture, I can probably send your a crystal, the coin is to see what size it is. After you post picture, leave your email address and I'll contact you for your home address and send you one.
are they all signed on the back?
Yes , they are all signed on the back with the "Good Luck" Hoppy
Hi Kerry10456, sorry it took so long but been busy, 4th picture is with the quarter, hope this helps kinda blurry, my email is deankeen@sbcglobal.net, does the crystal snap-in or do i have to take it apart?
Dean sorry took so long to answer..... There are two types of cases on this and this one just snaps into place. You won't need to take apart to fit crystal. I'll dig one out this week end and I've copied your email. will contact you then. Again, sorry I'm slow today. :-)
Sorry Dean, looked through all my crystals and found several either 1/16 to large or 1/16 to small. Noticed I need several also, I'll see if I can find a box of "Flex" plastic crystal by GS on ebay, they seem to work the best on these and let you know if I find them.
ok thank you
Dean, ordered box of flex crystal today, shipping stated 6-10 business days, will send email when they arrive. Sorry so slow, must be old, lol. To you and yours, Happy Memorial Day.
