I ran across this suit a few years ago at a sale and have been trying to find info on it ever since to no avail. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

The early Victorians thought that having a mini set of armor in their homes added class. They were expensive then, and still are. However, you must watch out as they repro'd these in the late 60s. I posted a Victorian set so you might be able to see some comparison.

Are there certain things to watch for in the reproductions? Are there any websites or books with info?

That is a Toledo (Spain) 60s and 70s reproduction. They were sold as tourist gifts. In any Spain classified ads web you can find lots of them.
