Just thought I'd add one of my favourite snake vases .
Uranium / Vaseline glass 19th Century Regenhutte or Schachtenbach .
It has an etched design that is very diffictult to see and photograph .

    If only my books were available! the PMC III is full of alabaster vases with contrasting rims!

    I tried to get to the village of Schachtenbach but also it has disappeared with time . there is only a walkinh track that goes through forrest to where it once stood. Did a walk to Regenhutte the factory was still standing but abandoned.
    There were great examples of glass from these factories at the glass museum in Frauenau.
