    this has what I think is a porcelain head but not sure. the body is a thick paper. Havent a clue how old she is or if she is homemade. Kinda cute!

      I heard that :-) !!!!!!!
      She is factory made from 40's her face maybe made of crushed oyster shells to make it white and coated they did a lot of dolls using that sort of material . She is a novelty doll probably sold to servicemen to send home , No real value damage and collectability just isn't there . Very hard to restore her face .
