The bottles are held down by brackets.
The steel platform was manufactured by DODGE and the motor is from GENERAL ELECTRIC. Dimensions of the platform is 3 ft long x 1.5 ft deep.

I found this item in my parents garage. Its been in there at least 45 years. I plugged it in about 20 years ago and it worked. It hasn't been touched or anything since that time. This past Monday, I plugged it in and it worked. I sprayed a little WD-40 on it because needless to say it was very dusty. The bottles look to hold about 2 gallons of liquids. I am just curious to find out what this was used for back in the days.
Possibly a paint mixer/shaker?
Thanks for your reply beachbomb, the only reason I don't think it has to do with paint is because of the glass bottles. But maybe back in the day they didn't have any other containers to use.
How fast does it turn & is there any paint spilt on the base?
