In 1917, Wilson Brady was granted patent number 1213452 for his stopper extractor. Emblazoned with "U-NEEK" across the handle, the little cast iron spiked opener truly lives up to its moniker.

Aside from the hook type opener that also graces the handle, there are three golf tee like spikes, that to utilize this as a cork puller one pushes each pin through the base of the U-Neek and into the cork obstruction. Theoretically, one the pins are inserted, turning the handle would break the seal of the cork from the bottle, and soon enough the offending obstruction would be extracted.

If you have a U-NEEK, I would love to have another (mine has temporarily gone missing).

And, if you have an antique corkscrew with which you would like to part, I am always buying, trading, selling (and very often using) antique and vintage corkscrews.
