does anyone know what this is?? I've been searching and searching and I cant find the exact same engine anywhere. I bought this from a museum that closed and even they didnt know what it was. it resembles alot of engines I have seen, but exactly what engine it is I just cant find. any gurus out there that can help me indetify what I've got here? its not a lionel, its not an Ives....its in great shape, and it runs...but i just dont know what the *&^#@ it is!

Looks like it could be a Bing.

No, J.Mel, I'm almost positive it's an American Flyer 1218. Since there are no markings on it, I'd venture that it's a re-paint. Check out the photos on http://www.binnsroad.co.uk.

Nice Item, more pictures/angles would help identifying it.
