I saw this at my local post office. I asked the postal worker about the item and he said that its an item that's been there since he first arrived there and he's been there for probably 20 plus years. He said it used to have a door and the bottom opens up. The bottom has a plastic tray like the kind to put coins. I asked him if there were any markings but could not find any. I did notice a small tag at the top however my camera seems to take no so clear images. Next time I'm at the post office, I'll ask him what it says in the tag. I can barely make out the name but it looks like Universal Steel Cabinet Co or Universal Steel Equipment Co or perhaps Industrial Steel Cabinet Co?
