This is the third "Lone Ranger" wristwatch made. The first was made in 1939, the next was made in 1948 ( the 39 and the 48 were made by the New Haven Co. and looked the same only the 48 was 25% smaller) and then this one was made in 1951 by US TIME (Timex). Note that the "Timex" name was first used in 1950, but the corporation title didn't take affect until 1969. This style and model is probably the rarest and hardest to find of the early "Lone Ranger" watches. I've been collecting "Character " watches for a number of years and I've only seen 2 others. Note the smaller size of this piece, the dial isn't much larger than a US One Cent piece. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy this piece.
