This guy (see photo at far right) probably knows. He's Christopher, as in ClocksbyChristopher.com, who had a beautiful collection of antique and vintage clocks in the same field as us, Central Park.
Christopher restores all of his clocks himself (he was tinkering when we spoke to him), from the circa-1900 Vienna regulator (first photo) to the Seth Thomas Adamantine (second photo) to the more recent 1977 Mickey Mouse alarm clock made by Bayard of France (third photo).
We hope to speak with Christopher soon about clocks, as well as his collection of old Victrolas.
