Tea is not my thing, I have a big Bialetti caffeine hit each morning! But my partner has turned to T2 and the ginger herbals. So I thought I would not pass up this one for $8 the other day! The little globe is still used but this matte-glazed one by Arabia ( Ah - rah - bay - ah) is for special occasions!
This is the big dark brown version. The design goes back to the mid-’50s but these teapots remained in production well into the 1970s and they do still turn up at jumble sales and in charity shops where this one was sourced. Love the angle of the handle!

Many thanks Amber!
I have always loved the shape of Arabia but have never been too big a fan of the brown. I can see the appeal but, and bear with me here, it seems very boy. A good guy color. Manly even. Does that make sense?
Total sense, Amber!
I'd have preferred a pink one!
But as Dad said: beggars can't be choosers!
Hahahaha! We are on the same page then.
How are you V?
LOL:) vet your funny:)
Many thanks bratjdd!
Hi Amber! Just got back from dinner with Paul's god-daughter and her father. Mellow! I hope you all have a great weekend!
I absolutely love, love, love the work of Ulla Procopé for Arabia, specially this GA and the Ruska (brown) series (and of course Valencia range!). I have a more or less complete breakfast set (teapot, coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl, juice jug...) in the Ruska range but always loved this paricular design... such a line!
Congratulations on such a find!
Thanks for the GA, austro!
Many thanks scandinavian_pieces!
