This is my small Abraham Lincoln collection.
The watch is a Illinois Watch Co. 12 size, 21 ruby jewel, A. Lincoln grade pocket watch manufactured around 1921.
The large medal in the case is a essay medal awarded to a student for their winning essay on Abraham Lincoln, presented by the Illinois Watch Co. in Springfield. Ill. The back says, LINCOLN ESSAY MEDAL AWARDED TO (then an area for the students name to be engraved).
The small medalion has 1809-1865 ABRAHAM LINCOLN on the front and the back is, ILLINOIS WATCH COMPANY SPRINGFIELD MAKERS OF THE A. LINCOLN WATCH.
the watch fob has ABRAHAM LINCOLN on the front and on the back is, AWARDED BY THE PITTSBURG PRESS LINCOLN STORY CONTEST 1924
