I have this sofa, plus the matching chair and rocker that belonged to my great grandmother - probably 1900-1920's vintage. Great Grandma purchased them for her house in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. The story is that they were purchased from a Sears Roebuck catalog but I have been unable to validate this. They have no manufacturer's markings. Can anyone tell me their vintage, provenance or value? Thanx!

LilyMaude, I have the same sofa (and matching chair), which belonged to my grandmother (born 1897), who was from Bellaire, OH...and previously from near Pittsburgh, PA. Both pieces used to be very dark (almost black), but have been refinished to look just like yours. (She also had a similar rocker, but it wasn't an exact match, in that the arms were wide and flat.) I also would like to know something about their origin & value.
