JJZ......the MB in the pontil doesn't happen to stand for Martin Bach does it ??
NEVER SEEN A SIGNED PIECE LIKE THAT. HIS PRIVATE COLLECTION ??
I am continually amazed at the quality of the decoration. Thanks again for sharing.
FWF, you are very astute!!! The pontil photo is very special and unique. The vase it is on is the Memorial Vase that was given to the daughter of Martin Bach, Sr. at his funeral service in 1921. It has the most elaborate "silver signature" that I have ever seen: M B 1921. I acquired it directly from the family many years ago and it has never been shown...Thanks, JJZ
