In an attempt to compete with the Strowger Automatic Telephone, F.A. Lundquist patented this telephone on July 23 1901. The patent was assigned to M.E. Richardson of the National Automatic Tel Co in Salina, KS. around 1905 The National Automatic Tel Co was bought out by the Globe Automatic Telephone Co of Chicago, Ill. The Globe Automatic Telephone Co lasted until 1911.
