These little dolls produced during I believe Vietnam War were novelty dolls to send to a loved one in Service . They made Marines like this , Army and Navy .
Since it is Memorial week end and we give time to remember those who fought for our country and did not make it home . I think we should remember all the men and women who did serve and come back from War . These were produced by Lee Nolan Inc . It is a hard plastic 8 in doll in a plastic container with words on top and bottom of it "Send me Home " Semper Fi to all the Marines and all Military Veterans . I don't have the other branches since my Husband is a Marine :-) But I will look for an Army one for my son after 30 years of service in Army as a CSM . Very proud of them both and all the Military people in my life got to come home and for that I am grateful today . I suspect put out during Vietnam ? As it has a full zip code . I was a nam Nurse and they didn't make a Nurse send me home doll :-)

I almost bid on one of these dolls on the internet, but bought a Mortimer Snerd instead. They're pretty neat. My husband is from a Marine family, I may have to find one for him. =) Nice to see
