This is an old Duncan Imperial model, one of the most basic yo yo designs. The logo has since changed, they now feature a fleur de lis. I am unclear exactly how old this particular yo yo is. I have had trouble finding out exactly when the Imperial went into production, but I know that the Duncan Toy Company started in 1929. I read that the Imperial was first introduced that year, but I also know that the Duncan O-Boy was the first yo yo the company produced. The Imperial is the world's best selling yo yo, making the toy famous, and the first yo yo in space. I tried to mess with the contrast in the last picture in an attempt to get a better view of the text since the gold inlay is mostly gone. It is lighter in weight than more modern Imperials.
