French clocks are notoriously difficult to date accurately, much less identify who made the clock. Many French clock movements were "cased" by a wide variety of artisans and craftsmen. To make matters worse, many records were lost over the course of the two European "World Wars".

Is there any other information on the clock case and/or movement?

Any and all information printed, stamped or labeled on the dial, movement, case and pendulum. This includes names, trademarks, serial/model/patent numbers and dates.

How often does it need to be re-wound?

Measurements of the dial and case. Please take measurements at the longest, widest, and deepest points only.

Sharp, well lit photos of the entire case, with close-ups of the dial, movement can be very helpful.

      Any provenance information?

This information could be very helpful, but it still may not lead to a definitive model or date.
