I finally got one of the these old telephone pins inscribed I.T.Co. There is some debate as to what the letters mean. Several folks have told me it means Independent Telephone Company while others have said it means Inland Telephone Company.

The seller told me it was from the Walla Walla, Washington area.

Anyhow, I have been told these pins were awarded in different metals. This one appears to be in bronze. Although I have seen one for sale in a very tarnished silver and some people have told me they come in gold too.

Does anybody know what the I.T.Co. initials stand for?

Thank you ttomtucker! I have only seen 3 of these pins in six years. Not the rarest pin - but pretty rare.

earthandmagneto, I haven't seen to many of these pin, I lean towards it being a Independent Telephone Company pin., because of the dots between I & T. Company logo such as GTE, AT&T, or IBM don't have dots between the letters.
