Funky 5 inch round hand-made Viking plaque. I found it as I was leaving a shop a couple of days ago. The room that it was in had been cleared out to make room for another vendor and this was all by it's lonesome, hanging on the wall. It was handsome enough to tempt me into the space, and then I couldn't walk away without him.
Do you think it might be Scandinavian?, and does anyone recognize the signature?

Lots of interesting textures! I don't think Asian. I want to say Scandinavian but I am not an expert. I don't think it is a student or craft piece...hmmmm, a real puzzler.
