Here is my most interesting find from picking this weekend. This is a 451 page 1891 Land Survey & Deed Record Book from San Patricio County, Texas.
This thing is quite interesting, loaded with old survey maps and such.
This estate sale guy was throwing these clothes out of a box, then out of the clothes box he pulls out this and I zeroed right in on it. I said “ what would you have to have for that?”, and he said “that thing, make me an offer”. I said “would you take $10.00”, and he said “sure”. If I had known it was going to be that easy, I would have offered $5.00!
So there you have it, a great old historical book at a bargain price.

Wow! An amazing and beautiful article.
It makes you wonder how something like this ends up in someone's possession & then in an estate sale & not in the hands of the San Patricio County records. Maybe they borrowed it & forgot to return it.
You just may have saved it from being tossed.

Yes, I am constantly amazed at what winds up in the trash. People post some great "in the trash" finds here.
Thank you very much pickingupbones.
