    About 5-1/2" tall. by: A. KOHNER.

    Works !

    Wooden figures.

    Red plastic base with wood push-up.

    Base reads: "BRONCO BILL NO. 125 PATENT NO. 2,421,279 A KOHNER PRODUCT".

    No box. No fliers.

    We are dating this one to about mid 1940's to mid 1950's.

    All input appreciated.

      Dates from end of 40's to 50's
      here is some History on Company and also your Push Puppet :-) he is great .
      Push Button Puppets History
      Fortune smiled on the brothers when they obtained the rights from the Swiss inventor, Marty Meinard, to produce the line of toys to be called Push Button Puppets. The first ones were produced around 1947. Fisher Price and as many as 28 other toy makers tried to copy their designs which the brothers tried to stop, and did stop some, by many court actions. However, many knock-offs were produced. Some manufacturers called theirs Push Up Puppets, perhaps in an attempt to demonstrate that their toys were somehow different from Kohner's. Sales for puppets rose to $50,000 in the 1950s. Over 400 workers at the Kohner factories worked hard to satisfy demand.
      The company was sold in the 1969 to General Foods .

      As Mani stated these are Push Puppets. The first ones were produced around 1947, Kohner called theirs "Push Button Puppet"( several knock-offs called thiers Push up puppet)then around 1955, Kohner made "transition" piece, those would have both wood and plastic. Great piece, thanks for sharing

      Did you take a little nap kerry lol and oh Thank you too . Is it hot by you today ? So humid and hot here but friend in KS said severe winds up to 100 mi hr by her . Hope it is not headed our way or yours on the way :-)

      Mani,weather hot and sticky, about 91 with 20-30 mph ssw winds. And sleepy still, nap didn't help. :-)
