When a friend asked me to identify this 6" jug and offered it to me for sale, I jumped out of my skin. The handle had the characteristic verdigris patina one finds in Cephalonia pieces, but they body did not show the other marker, golden mica flecks. The enameling suggested Egyptian influence, and to top it all, it glowed under a black light! Since it did not entirely correspond to Cephalonia with patina, I decided on another category: Olympia with patina. In all my years dealing with Czech art glass, I have never seen such a combination.

Beautiful shape, color and style. The pearl color sure looks nice on this beautiful jug.
