I have several fobs of the 1915 Panama Pacific World's Fair in San Francisco, CA., but this is one of my favorites. I think because it is a bakelite fob and has lasted all these years. The second photo trying to have it backlit.
The Panama-Pacific International Exposition was a World's Fair held in San Francisco, CA. between Feb. 20, & Dec. 4, 1915. It's purpose was to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal, but it was widely seen in the city as an opportunity to showcase its recovery from the 1906 earthquake.
The 1915 American Grand Prize & Vanderbilt Cup auto races were held Feb. 27th & March 6th on a 3.84 mile track set up around the Exposition grounds.
