Uummannaq is 1170 metres high mountain in the shape of a heart on the western coast of Greenland (in fact, Uummannaq means “in the shape of a heart” in Greenlandic). Once you know about it you understand, and love, these UMANAK vases.
One of the most remarkable features in these vases is the thick top rim, flat-ish on top, that allows a small regular mouth., that matches the thick base whereas contrasting with the thin walls in its body.
This series can be found in three sizes: 9, 13/1 and 17 cms tall.
Can also be found in Smoke grey.
