      Thank you all for the warm welcome to CW! The lampshade, which appears to be original to the lamp, is of lacquered paper in an opaque heavy cardboard. It clips onto the light bulb, which is the typical bulb { 40 watt } form and not the compact fluorescent type. The inside color of the the lampshade is off-white in color.
