The Manhattan Watch Co. New York, New York opperated from 1883-1891. They mainly made 16 size low cost prduction watches and most were cased and styled to be sold as a complete watch.
The one I have, I'm told, is an early production watch in that it has a large winding wheel and is a time only watch. Stem winding & a pull out hand setting knob on rim of the case above the 1.
In the Shugart Complete Price Guide to Watches, they just show the later Manhattan movement and the later styles made.
On this one, the Dial is marked: M.W.Co. (these are enameled coated paper dials). Also shown is a spare dial I have.
The Movement is marked:
NOV. 27TH 1883 (on the large winding wheel)
No. 67624 (at bottom of movement)
I also have a Manhattan medallion that I will show in the Fob section.
Thanks for looking,
