I believe this madallion originally had a crown & bow on top that has been broken off.

Hi Dave,
Manhattan made watches from c.1883-1891 most all were size 16s. Yours looks as if it had a center sweep at one time because of the markings on the outer track.
It the pendant sets the hands, then you have a stop watch however; if the button sets the hands, you have a time only pocket watch. Either way you have a very scarce watch.

I knew I had seen a picture of this tokan before but couldn't remember.
Jim, this is a time only watch and never had a sweep sweep seconds hand. See the post I made of the watch on my previous post. The button lifts up and sets the hands.
