I've had this Art Deco necklace for nearly 50 years. My guess is it's from the '20s. It's definitely costume jewelry, the stone is probably glass because there is a deep scratch on one of the facets. There are no marks or numbers on it.
What I'd like to know is what is the metal that it's made of? Is it bronze? I love the patina, and I adore the chain. If anyone has any other comments or ideas on its origins or style, I'd appreciate your input!

Just stunning Stef ! I love love it ! Do you wear it ? I would if I was you .
Yes, I definitely wear it! Although amber isn't my color ( I don't have a lot of clothes that match) I wear it whenever I can. Thanks for the love!
Oh I'm glad to hear you wear it :-) to pretty to be in a box some place .
Definitely looks like bronze to me - which would be fitting for the period. So gorgeous!
Just lovely!! Glad you wear it!!
Love it...I have a pin that is similiar...will post it tomorrow as I would love to know something about it, too
This is lovely, I will try and post a necklace that has the same coloring and from a similar time. (my sister collects costume and sometimes shares) It could be bronze or pot metal.
