I love Austro Hungary's posts. He has a different esthetic than I do, but boy are his treasures super cool. I spotted this guy at the thrift and walked around with him to ultimately put him down. I thought I was possibly seeing more than was actually there. It haunted me through the whole holiday weekend. I was thrilled that I was in that area again on Tuesday so I could see if made it through the half price weekend. It did.
15 inches tall
double bubble of about 7 inches
one dollar
No markings what so ever
spout
Anyone got an idea? Just glass? Cool Austro piece? Confirmation that I am a crazy lady? All probable.

im going to say that this could have came from that store call "CB2" which is crate and barrels store of modern decor. that is my guess:)
Love it!
I know CB2, it seems older than that. I don't know why I think that, it is the feel of it.
Did you get the picture.
Thanks for the love miKKo, how are you?
Yes I did ,and it's very cool:) this is a tough call on your beautiful decanter:)
Wow, Amber, I love this, and it's a huge jug! It reminds me a lot of Jorma Vennola's Paula series for Iittala, although Vennola's lines are more curvy and the jug itself is smaller (but almost any jug must be smaller than your 15" one :) ) ( This is Jorma Vennola's Paula: http://www.google.es/imgres?hl=es&sa=X&biw=1366&bih=577&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=y2MHGh357iE-oM:&imgrefurl=http://www.wanhanpuoti.com/Lasit4.htm&docid=gl56BQhPpbVUoM&imgurl=http://www.wanhanpuoti.com/IMAGE1666.JPG&w=314&h=235&ei=mXHIT46pJYWDhQee0uXIDw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1034&vpy=112&dur=123&hovh=188&hovw=251&tx=143&ty=95&sig=116408060262029818540&page=2&tbnh=121&tbnw=164&start=21&ndsp=30&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:21,i:129).
I am guessing, just guessing, yours must be American although has a very Scandinavian style... I wish I could tell you more about this great jug.
As for the ATOLL Kosta Boda votive, I've got 7 of them in 7 colous and three different sizes... they're the ones under the table here: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/52875-a-glass-collectors-living-room-iii?in=user - Anna Ehrner is a fantastic designer. In the same picture you can see two more bowls designed by her: TEMPERA in geay and CONTRAST in black
@Ballin: your find is a design of Christer Holmgren for Holmegaard called SOLIFLEUR and, just like its name tells us, is a vase for just one flower. It was designed in 1965 and was in the Holmegaard catalogues from 1965 to 1973. It came in four sizes: 25, 22, 18 and I think 16 cm tall as well as in at least four colours: red, purple, blue and green.
I really didn't think it was Scandinavian, but knew you would like it Austro! Hope you are doing well.
Of course i like it!
Thanks Amber. As a matter of fact it's been a hard day today, having put the dog to sleep. But we knew this day would come. Un abrazo.
Awww, that's so sad. Poor baby. I am sure she had a good life, full of love, and takes that with her to the next life. Maybe she will be a lion ;)
