I have had this Imperial 11" tall decanter for more than 20 years, stashed away in the back of a cabinet. I had totally forgotten about it. Recently I was moving glass around and rediscovered it. I was amazed to realize that the pattern corresponded to Loetz Spiraloptisch, which in itself is an old Japanese decor, used in sand gardens. It does have an Imperial Glass label and documented in the Imperial Glass Encyclopedia--unfortunately my books are packed away. Can anyone help?

Thanks to Kathy Dahms for the following information:
This decanter is pictured in black and white in Volume 1 of the Imperial Glass Encyclopedia on page 10 and again on a showcase picture on page 11, and in a turquoise color on page 154. It was part of the Americana collection produced about 1960 consisting of eight different patterns, billed as "authentic reproductions of genuine antiques." This particular pattern was called "Scroll." Seven of the patterns including this one were marketed in antique blue in a "Decorative Decanter-Bottle Collection."
