This was the ring that got me addicted to the British hallmarking system. The date letter looks to be from 1780, lower case 'e'. This is the one piece of jewellery I never take off, I am most attached to this out of all my jewellery collection (although there are many runner ups). Still deciphering the makers marks, those will give me a more clear idea on date. Although the hallmarking is pretty precise, I still would only be 100% sure if I found makers mark matching the era.
