This decor is the commonest of all of feathered Rindskopfs. All are 12" to 13" tall, deep teal-colored glass with the usual blue gray feathering.
Pic 1: polished pontil.
Pic. 2. a 6" vase. I find this design quite impractical. The mouth is too small and the bottom to large. Therefore, I would not have it in any size but this one. Cut from the top.
Pic. 3: Definitely largest is best, and quite spectacular. One of my favorite shapes. The three-sided mouth is a Rindskopf marker.
Pic. 4: Cut from the top.
Rindskopf has dramatically (and probably needlessly) increased in price, so be sure to get some before it goes through the roof.
Amazingly, the Passau Museum Catalog, Band IV, (my glass "Bible"), which otherwise does an excellent job of documenting Rindskopf, does not show ANY feathered vases, though their provenance is indisputable.
