These clocks fascinate me for some reason, I love the movement of this clock, I also like pendulum clocks, which is probably why this one apeals to me. Leon Hatot invented these movements back in the early 20's and I also own one of his original signed clocks. There was an interesting alternative to quartz driven clocks, but no one manufactures ATO clocks any more.

This one is made by Kundo in Germany. As for its age, I only know it was made sometime after 1950. ATO is not an acroynm for anything, it is the three middle letters in Leon Hatot's last name.

Leon Hatot is known more for his jewelery creations than his clocks. Another note to Leon Hatot and his clock inventions, he developed the self-winding watch.
