I went to an estate sale today. I spotted these two lamps in the corner of a mostly cleared out living room. I only picture one here, but they're identical. I don't know anything about EF & EF Industries, other than they made lamps in the 70's and that they patented the night light feature of the lamp. Luckily, they're stamped with the maker, model and year, or else I wouldn't have had a clue about them. I know you all probably already know this but, there is a bulb in the base of the lamp so you can turn the light off, while still leaving the base light on. It's like a night light. The glass glows because of the diffuser inside. I can't wait to turn them on tonight! I doubt they're carnival glass because they're only 40 years old. If anyone knows about that, would love to know. The color is incredible. The pictures don't do them justice. The glass is hand blown and scalloped at the bottom. They're cast brass made in Chicago. Kind of funky, if you ask me. They're 35" tall from top to bottom and 12" wide at the broad part of the glass. I tried to find this style on the Internet, but no luck so far. I don't think anyone collects EF & EF, but I think I will! I know this company mass produced lamps in the 70's, but the value for me is that I enjoy them. I finally got bulbs for the bases and they are something else when lit.
