I was just out digging through garage sales yesterday and I stumbled upon this photo, I picked it up and I cannot stop looking at it. Normally I don't collect photos, but if one really catches my attention, I have to have it!
It's an 8 x 10 photo of the Memphis Belle with people from the Memphis Belle. In the upper left corner it's signed by Robert Morgan, pilot.
I have found this photo online signed by various people from the plane, including Robert Morgan. All of Morgan's signatures look alike! It think I found a real jewel here.

This is a keeper!
That's an amazing garage sale find!
Thanks, mrmajestic1 & walksoftly!
You could contact his wife or the Memphis Belle web site to see if you can get it authenticated. Very cool picture. My uncle piloted B-17's and B-29's and had some hair raising times.
Great! Thanks, fhrjr2!!
Nice autograph-- looks good and signed on modern image.
Morgan's signature is readily available. After the movie he was a fairly prolific signer.

Yes. It's definitely a modern image! It was probably signed sometime around when the movie came out because of the age of the photo itself.
Thanks!!
I contacted Robert Morgan's wife, Linda. She has authenticated it, it is his signature. She is in the process of sending me a certificate of authenticity! Thanks again, fhrjr2, for the tip about the Memphis Belle website!
