I am holding in my hand my father-in-laws Gruen and it has the same watch band as yours does which would lead me to believe that they are both original. My watch has roman numerals and curved sides and crystal. The relative size would also indicate that they have the same movement. My watch needs a stem and general overhaul. Does someone out there do this work?
I checked the price guide, but didn't see this particular watch. I think it's called a Precision. Just like it says on the dial. Find a watchmaker in your area and he will be able to make this watch run like new for between 65.00 and 150.00 dollars
depending on what parts are needed. Shouldn't take a watchmaker more that two weeks. If you can't find a watchmaker then find a jeweler who uses one. That might take a little longer and cost a little more since you have to pay the jeweler too. The watch looks to be late 40's to early 50's to me. Just a guess on my part. Good luck
