    I think this is a Native American Basket.I've had it for some time and have no clue as to what it is.It measures 5" across and 2 1/2" tall.

      Hi Christo, You have a basket made by the Makah tribe. The Makah are a northcoastal tribe, and made baskets like these for the tourist trade. You can find out more about them online. This basket looks to have some damage to the lid as well as the rim. I have a few Makah baskets up on my page along with some made by the Nootka tribe (they lived close to the Makah and their basket weaving is very similar) if you want to take a look.
