Tea Box from Japan w/ amazing artwork

This was purchased in Yokohama in the mid-90's by my Aunt, it is one of my favorite pieces. The artwork on the box is simply beautiful. On the lid the birds look like they are flying in the same direction, whether you look at it right-side up or upside-down, which is an amazing detail that would be hard to emulate. The inside is stamped with a silver/leaf plating, I am not sure the type of material but it helps keep the box smooth and sealed from moisture. Very rare!
