A piece I brought out in the daylight while cleaning the garage last week. Pretty large (about knee-height) and heavy.

"In 1906 The Monmouth (IL) Pottery Company merged with 6 others to create The Western Stoneware Company. This crock came from Plant Number 6 - Clinton Stoneware of Clinton Missouri, (which was established in 1898 and produced until 1910). **Interesting note: The D. Culbertson Stoneware Company of White Hall Illinois was known as Plant Number Five and remained in operation until 1916.** "

So although this piece didn't actually come from MY hometown, there is a connection and it is still at least 110 years old!
