This is a Model A - Simplex adjustable watch holder that you could attach to your steering wheel on your car and put your pocket watch in it so you would now have a car clock. Made by H.L. Lang Staunton, VA. and sold for $1.00.
Also attached is an advertisement from R.H. Ingersoll showing their Ingersoll Yankee watch in a Simplex holder. Their price was $1.25.
The watch shown is a Ingersoll Yankee Back Wind & Set serial no. 10588628 c. 1905.

Dave, Do you have a lot of "dollar" watches? I don't collect them but the West Clock "Scotty"
As I was saying before I screwed up and posted before I'd finished... The Westclox Scotty is the watch that really set me on this path. I had several as a kid and always loved carrying a pocket watch.

Yes I have quite a few "dollar" watches. I think one of the last pocket watches I posted was an early Westclox when it was the Western Clock Mfg. Co.
I like dollar watches, the history behind them, advertising pieces, etc.
