I've just bought this piece at auction but I can't find any information on the pottery marks on the bottom. I know its Royal Doulton but I don't know what the numbers mean or the initials EW. Any help on year or specific maker would be appreciated. It has a lovely blue glaze with a copper section that looks like it has been hand stamped located in the middle.

EW = Emily M. R. Welsh. The mark with lion was used from 1902 to 1922. Nice!
thanks for the information, would you know anything about the stamped date (which could be read two ways) - 8806 or 9088 ? Thanking you in advance.
