I purchased this dutch boy at auction-I read the article posted on this site about wooden dolls. I can find no markings on this doll , Except for the head he is all wood, with the limbs being pegged and movable. His head appears to be composition or somehthing like it. He's wearing an all wool suit that is nailed to his body. Anyone know an age or any info on Him, I'd love to hear it!!

I think he is so cute but also wonder if his face was restored at some time ? Painting doesn't look right to me ?
I agree with Marty, the face on a doll like this would have been of much better craftmanship than it shows now.
He is one cute little boy, though! Great find!
